PRAYER MINISTRY
The thrust of the Prayer Ministry within the church is divided into four main areas:
1. Our Sunday Morning Prayer Sessions which are conducted by Bishop Joseph M. Swann who is ably assisted by Prayer Ministers. This department sets the atmosphere for the day by getting members and others prepared for a full day of worship.
2. Pre-Service Consecration is another area of Prayer Ministry that is vital to our worship services. These are 15 minute segments prior to our Sunday Evening Service that helps to break up the fallow ground of the hearts of those in attendance in preparation for worship. These sessions set the atmosphere of expectancy for the miracle working power of God. Coordinated by Mavis Seymour who is ably assisted by several assistants.
3. Noon-Day Power Hour of Prayer is designed to be a filling station during the week where members and the general public can stop by to be recharged by the one hour spent in the presence of the Lord. It is the right place for yokes to be destroyed and deliverance from all things can be experienced.
4. Monthly, the church has expanded on a three morning (5:00a.m.–6:00a.m.) time of prayer. These early Morning Prayer Service, which are coordinated by the Pastoral Team or Heads of Department or ministries, are designed to start the day right, conclude the month with victory and begin the next empowered and emboldened . In the quietness of the morning God dwells with his people in an awesome way.
