OUR
SENIOR PASTOR, BISHOP HULAN A. HANNA
Bishop Hulan A. Hanna was born to the parentage of Cleveland
Hanna and the late Charlotte Bain. He
received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour at the age of 14 and from then to
present, he finds nothing better or as rewarding as serving his Lord and Saviour:
Jesus the Christ. Bishop Hanna, who was
raised by his late grandmother, Emmaline Virgil, credits her with much of his
earthly successes. He served in a number
of areas of the Church including: Senior Pastor of the Historic Meadow Street
Church, National Men’s Ministry Director; Christian Education Director, member
of the Ministerial Review Board and District Overseer for the Berry
Islands. Most recently, Bishop Hanna was
appointed as the District Overseer for the Island of Exuma and a member of the
National Administrative Committee of the Church of God of Prophecy. Bishop Hanna has worked throughout the Church
in The Bahamas, Caribbean and North America speaking at conventions,
conferences, retreats, seminars and work-shops.
Bishop Hanna has also worked with a number of Government
Ministries in The Bahamas with a view to bringing solutions to the myriad
problems facing men in general and young people in particular. As a youth counselor, Bishop Hanna has worked
with at risk youths, civil society, wards of the state and other special
interest groups whose mandate is: to prevent the male population from becoming
victims of a world that has no place in its affection for God or the things of
God.
Bishop Hanna is employed in the Royal Bahamas Police Force,
where he holds the Rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police. He has responsibility for Corporate Management
and Comptrollership. Bishop Hanna has a
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and a Master of Public
Administration. Professionally, Bishop
Hanna received training in Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States of
America and the Caribbean. Currently,
Bishop Hanna is pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion at Gordon Conwell
Theological Seminary.
Bishop Hanna and his wife Valerie, who serves faithfully in
ministry alongside her husband, have been married for 31 years and are the
proud parents of one son, Hulan Jr., and two daughters Latoya and Nerissa. All of their children are born again
believers and are members of the Church of God of Prophecy.
